Our Sections

Our Sections

The Scouting family is made up of our six Sections: Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network.

At the 63rd, we have three of these Sections:

Beavers, for our 6 to 8 year olds

Cubs, for our 8 to 11 year olds

Scouts, for our 11 to 14 year olds

After Scouts, many of our young people move up to Explorers and Network – you can find your local units on the Scouts website.

What about Squirrels?

Squirrels are the newest members of the Scouting family, and we know that there’s a huge demand from 4 to 6 year olds and their families to get involved. Whilst we’d love to set up a Squirrel Drey at the 63rd, we simply can’t do it without any Leaders to plan exciting activities for the Squirrels. However, if you think you’d make a great Squirrel Leader (or you know someone who would), take a look at our volunteering page, and then get in touch!

Our Strategy to 2035

Place to belong

Our Strategy to 2035 will help us keep the focus on what we do best - giving young people a place to belong and giving them the skills to thrive.
